José Barata
Principal Investigator
José Barata is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Nova University of Lisbon and a senior researcher of the UNINOVA Institute. He has a PhD degree in Robotics and Integrated Manufacturing since 2004 from the Nova University of Lisbon. Dr. Barata has participated in more than 15 International Research projects involving different programmes (NMP, IST, ITEA, ESPRIT).
Ricardo Silva Peres
Co-Principal Investigator / ML Engineer
Ricardo received both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Nova University of Lisbon in Portugal, specializing in the application of artificial intelligence in smart manufacturing. He is currently an Invited Professor at the same university, integrating the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology. Since 2014, he has been working as a researcher at UNINOVA-CTS, focusing on industrial artificial intelligence, machine learning and cyber-physical systems.
Clara Capucho
CLHO's Principal Investigator
Professor and Dr. Clara Capucho is an Otorhinolaryngologist and the head of the voice unit at the Egas Moniz Hospital, part of the Occidental Lisbon Hospital Centre. She received her Ph.D. with honours from the Nova University of Lisbon, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Portugal, focusing on the multidimensional analysis of the professional voice. She has a master's degree in audiology from Nova University of Lisbon. She is currently one of the principal investigators in the COVOICE-19 Project.

Recently appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of COLABTRIALS, a private non-profit association led by Nova University of Lisbon - Nova Medical School.

Silvandina Cordeiro

Silvandina Maurício Cordeiro has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the Superior School of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, since 2003, and a postgraduate degree in Taxation from the Superior Institute of Accounting and Administration of Lisbon of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, since 2015. Currently , is Senior Technician in the Projects and Innovation Office of the Santarém School of Health and Research Unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém.
Sara Oleiro Araújo

Sara Oleiro Araújo obtained her Bachelor's Degree in 2012 in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the High Institute of Engineering of Lisbon (ISEL) and her Master's Degree in 2015 in Technology and Food Safety from the Nova University of Lisbon. Currently, Sara is a researcher at the New Technologies Development Institute (UNINOVA) and is currently studying in the PhD program Agro-industrial Technologies at the Department of Earth Sciences (DTC) at Nova University of Lisbon. Her PhD work is linked with the use of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector.
Leandro Filipe

Leandro Filipe received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Since 2019, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant with the NOVA School of Science & Technology. He is currently a Ph.D. Student with the NOVA University of Lisbon.
